Justice Preeta A.K.
A native of Peermade in Idukki district. Completed schooling at St. Pius X English Medium School, Kuttikanam and Pre-degree at N.S.S. Hindu College, Changanacherry. Graduated in Law from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, Class of 1996. Enrolled as an advocate in the year 1997 after undergoing mandatory apprenticeship of one (01) year. Trained under Adv. M. Ramachandran (who later became a judge of this Court) and P. Ramakrishnan at the office of Justice M.P. Menon, Ernakulam, established independent practice in 2005. Over nearly three decades of practice at the High Court of Kerala. Areas of Specialisation were service, labour, constitutional, administrative law and Special Economic Zone Laws. Served as Standing Counsel for GAIL India Ltd., Kochi Metro Rail Ltd., Kochi Water Metro Ltd., ESI Corporation, Customs and Central Excise, and several IT Majors. Actively associated with the Commonwealth Legal Education Association through its national and international platforms and was Project Coordinator of the Research Project on Framework For The Implementation And Regulation of Water Metro Systems in India. Sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 27/04/2026 F.N.
